Join us for a Flinn-Brown Fellows-only event at the Flinn Foundation on critical topics impacting the state of our democracy and civic life in Arizona. In partnership with Arizona Town Hall, Fellows will help to set the stage for similar discussions that will occur in communities across the state. Tara Jackson, president of Arizona Town Hall, will facilitate the Town Hall process with Flinn-Brown Fellows. This will be the first community program on the 2024 Arizona Town Hall topic: Civic Leadership and Democracy.

Key questions will be raised to bring diverse perspectives together to prioritize solutions and recommendations:

• What constitutes an effective democracy?
• How is it important to us individually, to our community, our state, and our nation?
• To what extent does our current political system and civic structure support an effective democracy?
• What changes should we consider?
